At Social Butterflies Psychotherapy, we are passionate about supporting the next generation of mental health professionals. Our internship and mentoring program provides students with hands-on learning, clinical exposure, supervision, and professional development in a supportive, community-based private practice setting.
About The Program
Interns have the opportunity to learn about individual, family, couples, and group therapy, therapeutic modalities, case management, documentation, community outreach, grassroots marketing, networking, and the day-to-day operations of a growing mental health practice.

We welcome opportunities to collaborate with universities and colleges seeking meaningful internship placements for MSW, MHC, and related mental health students.
What Interns Can Expect
Our program is designed to help interns build confidence, clinical skills, and professional identity. Interns may receive exposure to:

We offer hybrid internship opportunities with in-person experience available at our main office in Middle Village, Queens, and satellite office in Garden City, Long Island.
