I am an Alumna of Howard University’s School of Social Work! As a student, I completed coursework in Direct Practice (Therapy) with a specialization in Family and Child Welfare Services. I am currently in the midst of studying for the New York State Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) exam, granting me the opportunity to expand and hone my practice with clients. I am currently interested in pursuing a career as a School Social Worker within the New York City Department of Education to continue my work with children, adolescents, and their families.

In my role as Psychotherapist, I provide individual therapy services to a wide array of populations including children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. My most-used therapeutic modality is Person Centered Therapy. I wholeheartedly believe that my clients are experts in their lives, and I am here to guide, not dominate the process.

I also find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an effective modality for engaging with clients who have thinking errors. At the root of most behaviors are our feelings and thoughts (conscious or unconscious). I enjoy challenging my clients to unlearn and relearn new behaviors to help facilitate a change in perspective and adapting a healthier way of thinking and living.
