Cindy Reid
MSW Intern

Cindy is a clinical social work intern at Social Butterflies Psychotherapy and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons University. She brings more than 10 years of experience supporting youth, families, and communities through youth development, domestic violence services, homelessness prevention, advocacy, and community engagement.
Her professional background has shaped her understanding of how family relationships, culture, identity, community, and access to resources can affect emotional well-being. She uses person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.
Under clinical supervision, she incorporates reflective listening, mindfulness, emotional-regulation skills, and CBT-informed interventions. She is passionate about helping clients strengthen their voices, recognize their resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change. Cindy also respects the role of Christian faith in healing and welcomes clients who wish to incorporate their Christian beliefs and values into therapy.
